Cancellation & Refund Policy
Any and all refunds take a minimum of 2 weeks to be reviewed and processed.
If, as a Customer, you wish to cancel a confirmed Booked Event (or Event) made via the Site, we will refund the Booked Event Fees and any other amounts charged to you only as provided under the Listing. You will be responsible for all Booked Event Fees and Taxes cancelled for any Booked Event as set out in the Listing, and we will transfer to the appropriate vendor(s) all monies paid to us for monies owed for the cancellation pursuant to the Listing.
As a general guideline, if a Customer cancels within 21 days of a Booked Event (for most vendors) or within 30 days of a Booked Event (for venues) they lose their whole deposit for the Booked Event.
If a customer cancels a Booked Event in advance of these deadline days, they lose 50% of their deposit for the Booked Event.
If a Vendor (or Event Provider), cancels a service or product, or fails to provide the service or product, that was to be provided for a Booked Event made via the Site, we will refund the deposit to the applicable customer for this Booked Event, within a commercially reasonable time of the cancellation.
As a general guideline, as a Vendor, if you cancel an upcoming Booked Event, you are not entitled to any customer deposit(s).
Refer to Table 1.1 and our Terms of Service for additional details.
A payout of the whole Booked Event value can be applied to your account as a payment authorization depending on the overall timeline between your cancellation and the specified Booked Event. Refer to our Terms of Service for additional details.
MULTIPLE VENDORS INVOLVED IN A BOOKED EVENT
If one Vendor cancels or fails to deliver the services or goods for a Booked Event that involves more than one Vendor, the Customer is responsible to proceed with the Booked Event and is responsible for all other Vendor Fees for the Booked Event and in no case shall the cancellation of the service or product of one Vendor affect the obligations of the Customer to any other Vendor(s).
The Vendor who cancels a service or product, or fails to provide the service or product, that was to be provided for a Booked Event made via the Site, may be subject to a payment authorization against their account, depending on the overall timeline between your cancellation and the specified Booked Event. Refer to ‘Vendor Cancellation’ for and Terms of Service for additional details.
We may, in our sole and absolute discretion, determine to cancel a Booked Event in its entirety at the request of a Customer if a Vendor (a "Defaulting Vendor") cancels or fails to deliver the services and/or goods for a Booked Event ("Eventspot Cancellation"). Eventspot may also in its sole and absolute discretion cancel a Booked Event or any services or products to be provided by any Vendor at any time, and such cancellation shall be treated as an Eventspot Cancellation.
If there is an Eventspot Cancellation, any Defaulting Vendor shall not receive any Vendor Fee or compensation and shall be responsible for any claims of any Customer, other Vendor or third party for the Eventspot Cancellation. The Vendors and the Customer agree and acknowledge that Eventspot shall have no liability for an Eventspot Cancellation.
If, as a Vendor, there is an Eventspot Cancellation you agree and acknowledge that you will not be entitled to any Vendor Fee or other compensation nor have any claim against us for any reason.
Please be advised that our cancellation and refund policy is subject to change at any time. All customers and vendors will be notified of any changes via our site. Customer and Vendors are responsible for staying up to date with any and all changes listed on our site.
A ‘Booked Event’ is defined as an event that has been booked and confirmed by both the customer and the vendor(s) involved.
