Eventspot is an online marketplace that creates a new way to connect consumers and event service providers so that events can be booked and paid for quickly, easily and securely. It dispenses with time consuming, frustrating and often fruitless communications and negotiations. More time, more revenue. We market ceaselessly in order to drive more business your way.
We have three different methods of sending you bookings:
Party in a Box: If you have a premium account with us that means that you will be in the exclusive pool of vendors that our planners will use to fill the requirements for our pre-set packages that consumers buy with a click.
Hire a Planner: If you have a premium account with us you will be in the exclusive pool of vendors that our planners will use when a consumer hires one of our expert planners to create custom events.
DIY: If a customer chooses to go the DIY route and plan their event themselves within our system, your business will be available to be booked by them. A standard account is all that is required for this option.
The only responsibility that you have, as a vendor, besides providing great service for your customer, is keeping your calendar and pricing up to date. The calendar and price package setup tool that we provide you with in your account manager, is the key to the whole system functioning flawlessly for everyone. Our Planners as well as any potential customers out there will be searching and planning around the dates and prices you have provided on your master calendar. If those are wrong it can cause booking delays and problems and you could have a lot of unhappy, lost customers and dollars out there.
A premium account at Eventspot is absolutely FREE. There is no upfront fee. No business sent your way, no cost at all. It is a zero risk proposition. On all premium account bookings through our “Party in a Box” and “Hire a Planner” options there is an administrative fee percentage of the total booking that we take from each transaction.
Absolutely not! That is the beauty of listing your price and availability in our system. Set, transparent pricing and known availablity does away with all of that. When you hear from us it will be with a FIRM booking request only based on the pricing provided in your account.
Eventspot has contracted with Stripe Payments to process all transactions, card not present, online. In order to give the consumer comfort and offer protection on both sides of the transaction the following payment process takes place - At the time of booking an event a deposit will be charged. Ten days before the event a pre-auth will be put in place for the balance and charged 72 hours before the event takes place. Stripe charges a 3.15% credit card processing fee and .30 cents for each transaction (both of which go directly to Stripe). Payment terms vary from some categories of vendors to others. You can review them all here. “Party in a Box” can work a little differently but in general this is the payment process.
Absolutely. No customer is obligated to do his or her booking or payment through our portal. At Eventspot we work for you and because we do not charge commission we therefore have no proprietary interest in keeping customers to ourselves. As long as people are finding you on our site and giving you business our job is done.
At Eventspot we strongly concur with the opinion that pricing transparency for the consumer is one of the pillars in creating a successful user engagement, experience, and an open, trusting relationship.
